Lord Hertford features in the photograph where the new Fenix Carriage is being handed over by representatives of the Adam Millichip Foundation. This handover took place on 3rd October 2015 and the carriage has proved to be a fantastic addition to the driving team at Stoneyford Equestrian, near Annscroft.
Henry (Harry) Jocelyn Seymour, 9th Marquess of Hertford (born 6 July 1958) is a British peer, the son of Hugh Seymour, 8th Marquess of Hertford. He was educated at Harrow School and the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester.
He currently resides at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, where he has been in charge of the estate since 1991.
In 1990, he married Brazilian-born Beatriz Karam. They have four children:
• Lady Gabriella Helen Seymour (b. 1992)
• William Francis Seymour, Earl of Yarmouth (b. 2 November 1993)
• Lord Edward George Seymour (b. 1995)
• Lady Antonia Louisa Seymour (b. 1998)
He broke his neck in 1987 and was temporarily paralysed after a three-wheel buggy he was driving hit a rock, flipped over and landed on him.
Being in a wheel chair does not hold him back. He enjoys riding most days with the family. He wholeheartedly supports the Cavalier Centre project. He believes this centre will allow more people to enjoy the benefits of riding as he has done himself.
