Come along and support our competitors in the 139th Wenlock Olympian Society Games! The Cavalier Centre is once again hosting the equestrian element for the games, including Dressage and a Countryside Challenge.

 

Entry is free with ample parking available

Enjoy the event from our seating area within the inside arena, with tea, coffee and cake available as well as our popular tombola!

Our state of the art equestrian centre is fully accessible with ample level parking, power-assisted doors, lift, Changing Places toilet and kitchen facilities if required.

Car Boot Sale – Sunday July 13th 2025

We are delighted to announce our first Car Boot Sale with our neighbours at Cuan Wildlife Rescue!

Taking place on Sunday 13th of July 2025 from 9am

Having a clear out and need some spending money for your summer holiday? Look no further!

With room for over 50 sellers, The Cavalier Centre is offering one of the largest indoor, all-weather car boots in South Shropshire.

Both charities will also be running second-hand stalls, raffle and tombola – perfect for bargain hunters!

There is ample parking on site, plus if you are walking from Much Wenlock, Broseley, Ironbridge or one of our neighbouring towns, you can claim a free hot or cold drink, plus a complimentary raffle ticket!

Seller cars are priced at £12 each (plus a very small admin fee) booked in advance via the link below.

 

All proceeds from seller bookings (plus any additional donations made via our booking portal) will be split equally between The Cavalier Centre and Cuan Wildlife Rescue – and sellers keep everything they make! Win win 🙂

 

We open to the public from 9am – and hope to see you then!

CPD: Collaborating with and through horses

Following the success of our 2024 event, we’d love you to join us for this engaging CPD day to discover the benefits of collaborating with and through horses to achieve your therapy goals. This practical day is ideal for HCPC registered therapists and case managers, and will be taking place at the Cavalier Centre, in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Friday 16th May, 2025 from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

  • £50 per person, including lunch. Book before midnight 4th May, 2025.
  • Please wear warm, dry clothing and sensible footwear.

Nick Lawson & Mark Walters of Corvedale Equestrian

Join Nick, Mark and guests as they take us through a range of horses from Preliminary to Advanced level, discussing the levels of training. They will also demonstrate a number of freestyle performances to music highlighting areas to gain marks and how to showcase your horse’s talents.

Tickets are £15 each in advance or £18 on the door. Hot drinks and other refreshments will be available.

Please bring a folding chair and blanket with you – we are unable to provide seating.

A physically disabled man takes on Everest to prove his self-worth, yet when the mountain takes its toll on his body, he is forced to question how far he’s willing to go to seek social acceptance.

My Everest is the story of Max Stainton-Parfitt, and his wonderful support circle, as he takes on the challenge of getting to the Mount Everest base camp on horseback. Max lives with severe cerebral palsy. His effort to get to base camp will be raising was to raise funds for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), in the hopes that people like Max can benefit from learning to ride.

Running time: 1 hour 26 minutes

Refreshments will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to the Cavalier Centre.

Coffee Morning – 25 July 2024

 

We’d love it if you could join us for a Coffee Morning, hosted by the Cavalier Centre from 10am to 12pm on Thursday 25th July, 2024

  • Join Cavalier Club members and learn about what they do!
  • Find out what you can do if you join the Club
  • Celebrate their successes and see what they have been achieving
  • Enjoy coffee, tea and cake with friends at the Centre

No need to RSVP – we’d just love to see you!


What is Cavalier Club?

  • Cavalier Club supports you to take part in activities with the horses and staff, in a supportive environment
  • You will get to know the horses and people, working together to learn new skills and complete important tasks which keep the centre running smoothly
  • You will work with people who also love horses and the Cavalier Centre!
  • There will be opportunities to find out about other organisations and the work they do, which you might want to get involved with

What we do at Cavalier Club

  • Small groups, up to six people, meet each week to make friends and learn about how to care for the horses
  • We will complete tasks which keep the horses happy and healthy in the stables, fields and around the centre, but we will not ride
  • We will work together, getting to know each other and help the centre
  • Some tasks will need some physical effort and others will be about helping the centre raise to awareness about the work they do
  • We will also arrange a coffee morning and invite guests to celebrate your completion of Cavalier Club

You are invited to compete in the RDA Equestrian Competition at the Cavalier Centre.

As part of the Wenlock Olympian Society Games, we are hosting an RDA Equestrian Competition.

There will be Walk Trot (with Leader) and Walk Trot (Independent) tests, as well as the ever-popular Countryside Challenge. And new this year, will be RDA vaulting.

Entries are £14 per class with time slots given to each rider. Places will not be assigned without payment.

Equine Tack Sale – 21 June 2024

This is a wonderful chance to buy and sell anything equine (apart from horses!) There will be room in our Indoor Arena for up to 30 sellers, so there will be plenty of bargains to be found.

Refreshments will be available and all proceeds from the evening go towards the running of the Cavalier Centre.

Early Bird price for bookings made by 14 June only £10 per pitch.

Price for bookings made after 14 June £15 per pitch.

  • Sellers: set up from 5:30pm
  • Buyers: 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Please note that as much as we like them dogs are not permitted on site.
